Ingredients
Pastry crust / galette crust
cups 2 cups all gf all purpose flour
cup 1/2 cup dairy free yogurt ( full fat ) you can also use sour cream 2sticks unsalted vegan butter
teaspoon 1 teaspoon salt
INSTRUCTIONS
- Whisk flour salt sugar
- Dice up butter and let sit to take off the chill for 10 min
- Work the butter into the flour blend I use my hands ( it’s easier ) most use a pastry tool
- Add in yogurt / sour cream mix well
- Split into 2 balls wrap in plastic and set in fridge for 1 hour
- Remove and let sit for 10 minutes or more to soften add flour to dough ball and roller pin , on parchment paper roll out to desired shape , transfer on paper to baking sheet now onto your filling
- Pie filling
- Preheat oven to 400
- I used 8 organic green apples peeled cored and thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- In pan on medium heat add you butter melt it up add in your brown sugar , cinnamon and cornstarch mix well then add in your apples cook for 10 min or until apples are soft stirring often and coating apples with mix,Scoop up apples ,fill your pies then decorate with top of pie crust , brush egg wash/ replacer and sprinkle sugar , bake 30-40 min
